小鹿田焼と益子焼の展示会を開催いたします！

便利で簡単なものが好まれる時代、それだけではどこか寂しく物足りなくなるのはなぜでしょう。

暮らしの中の楽しみやきらめきは、ちょっとだけ丁寧に、いつもより少し面倒なことに手をかけてみたその先にあるのかもしれません。
300年間一子相伝で伝わる小鹿田焼と、新しい人・技術、自由な作風を受け入れる体制が、今日の多様な姿を見せる益子焼。

２つの異なる道を歩んだ焼き物の、普段使いの器たちから、暮らしの中のときめきを感じ取って頂ければと思います。

★当館は築100年の『京都市個別指定京町家』です。建築物としての京町家もお楽しみ頂けます！緩やかな時間が流れる静かな京町家で、是非ごゆっくりとお過ごしください。

At a time when convenience and simplicity are the order of the day, why is that in itself somehow lonely and unsatisfying? Perhaps the joy and sparkle of life lies in being a little more careful and putting a little more effort into things that are a little more tedious than usual.
Ontayaki has been handed down from father to only one son for 300 years. Mashikoyaki, on the other hand, has taken on the diverse face it has today thanks to its flexibility in embracing new people, new techniques and new styles. We hope you will feel and touch the excitement of everyday life with these two different types of everyday ceramic vessels, each of which has taken a different path.
